Program Evaluation
Program evaluation involves the systematic collection of information to make decisions on programs and services. A common thread of evaluation is gathering information about a program in order to find out whether a program is meeting its objectives; what parts of the program are working or not working and why; what improvements to the program are needed; what difference is the program making; and what is the cost effectiveness of the program.
Our team has the experience necessary to guide organizations in answering these questions and making improvements where necessary. Program evaluation services offered include the following:
- performance measurement
- process (formative) evaluation
- outcome (summative) evaluation
- cost / benefit analysis
- evaluation frameworks / logic models
- program effectiveness review
- program development
- policy reviews
- needs assessments

Edmontonians Magazine Poll Station
Banister Research conducts a monthly poll for the Edmontonians magazine. Edmontonians is a local publication which profiles people, places and events in the capital region. The Poll Station surveys 100 local residents or business people regarding a variety of interesting topics. While the results of the research are not statistically reliable, they do provide a qualitative indication of what people are thinking. Each month, the Banister Research website is updated to include the new Poll Station results.
