Certified Management Consultant
All work completed by the firm is under the direction of a professional who has earned the Fellow of the Canadian Association of Management Consoultants of Canada. Fellows of the Association are broadly recognized as oustanding professionals within and beyond the confines of management consultings. They have been singled out by a combination of peers, clients, colleagues and commuinty members for their integrity, pioneering efforts, innovation and significant accomplishments and contributions to both the profession of management consulting and the community.
The use of the Certified Management Consultant (CMC) designation is recognized and governed by law for the purpose of protecting the public interest. The CMC must abide by a stringent code of professional conduct which assures the client of expertise and qualifications appropriate to the engagement. In addition, clients have recourse through the disciplinary committee of the Institute of Certified Management Consultants of Alberta (ICMCA) to ensure that engagements are conducted in a professional and ethical manner.
The CMC designation is earned through a combination of experience, peer review, study, and examination. The credentials of a CMC are of the highest caliber and include as a minimum: an undergraduate degree from a recognized university or the equivalent experience; three years of full-time management consulting experience managing or assuming key roles in major projects; and the successful completion of a rigorous series of examinations on management and management consulting skills. Certified Management Consultants bring a wide range of technical and managerial consulting skills to a project which lead to better and longer lasting results for clients. Linda Banister is a Certified Management Consultant of Alberta and is a member in good standing of the Canadian Association of Management Consultants.
Code of Professional Conduct
Banister Research & Consulting Inc. adheres to the Uniform Code of Professional Conduct for the Institute of Certified Management Consultants of Canada and the Canadian Association of Management Consultants. The purpose of the code is to identify those professional obligations which serve to protect the public in general and the client in particular. The Code is also designed to identify clearly the expectations of members with respect to other members and the profession. Banister Research & Consulting Inc. also strictly adheres to the standards of the market research industry for confidentiality. All information pertaining to the study is held in strict confidence and is not released to any party other than the client.
Professional Market Research Society (PMRS)
Linda Banister is a member in good standing of the Professional Market Research Society. All research activities undertaken b the firm are in accordance with the Rules of Ethics, Conduct, and Good Practise as set out by the PMRS.
Erik Benke
Erik is our most recent addition to the Banister Team. He possess a wealth of experience in management of daily data collection activities in data verification, sample selection, programming, data verification and data analysis. Erik manages our 45 survey staff and oversees the Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing system. He is also directly responsible for supervising the data coding and generation of detailed data.
Edmontonians Magazine Poll Station
Banister Research conducts a monthly poll for the Edmontonians magazine. Edmontonians is a local publication which profiles people, places and events in the capital region. The Poll Station surveys 100 local residents or business people regarding a variety of interesting topics. While the results of the research are not statistically reliable, they do provide a qualitative indication of what people are thinking. Each month, the Banister Research website is updated to include the new Poll Station results.
